Join Captain Chris for a fun and fast-paced 4-hour afternoon fishing trip designed to put you right on the bite in some of the most productive nearshore waters. This shorter trip is perfect for anglers looking to get out on the water, enjoy steady action, and target a variety of popular reef species without committing to a full day offshore.

Depending on conditions, Captain Chris will run to nearby reefs, bridges, or bait-rich structure where fish are actively feeding. These productive zones are home to a wide range of species, including Yellowtail Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, and Lane Snapper. Each location offers its own style of fishing and opportunity, keeping the trip exciting from start to finish.

A variety of techniques may be used throughout the trip based on what the fish are responding to. Bottom fishing is a primary method for targeting snapper species around structure, while flatline fishing can entice aggressive feeders near the surface. Jigging and trolling may also be used to cover water and locate active fish, ensuring every opportunity is explored to keep rods bent.

The boat is equipped for comfort and convenience, featuring a cooler filled with ice and water to keep drinks and catch cold throughout the trip. There is also plenty of dry storage available for personal belongings, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the experience without worrying about gear or space. A private toilet is located under the center console for added comfort during the trip.

Captain Chris is a seasoned fishing guide with over 15 years of on-the-water experience across two of the most iconic fisheries in the world. For the past 10 years, he has guided anglers through the crystal-clear flats and offshore waters of the Florida Keys, targeting everything from tarpon, wahoo, tuna, sailfish to snapper, grouper, and other species.

Before calling the Keys home, Chris spent five years fishing in the rugged waters of Alaska, where he honed his skills pursuing salmon and halibut in challenging conditions. That time taught him precision, adaptability, and respect for the fishery—qualities he brings to every trip.

Known for his patience, local knowledge, and passion for teaching, Captain Chris welcomes anglers of all skill levels, from first-timers to seasoned veterans. His goal is simple: provide a safe, fun, and memorable experience while helping guests catch fish and build lasting memories on the water.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
