Cooling temps get fish moving, ,and that has been the case here in Tampa Bay . Summer triple tail are still here, but starting to thin out Local. Tarpon. Have been in Bay Area rivers. Along with Snook redfish and trout. Making their way into cooler water. This pattern will continue and there will be more numbers and larger fish following close behind. The Pompano have also been making their way up to bay for the last few weeks pieces of shrimp or a sand, flea imitation work well.

We are getting lobster limits almost everyday. Air and water temperatures are still very comfortable. We're just starting to see the Kobe show up on the gulf wrecks. And still good solid bites of yellow tail, red grouper Lionfish hunting just been off the chart. Expecting things to really start picking up at the bottom Fishing as the water cools and we're not too far from our tuna wahoo and sailfish time.

The juvie tarpon have been around pretty good. The shallow patch reefs have been producing lots of snappers and groupers

We are just getting traps out for stone crab season but had some pretty mangys a week ago.
Also had a day last week with a nice sail. Not hot yet but apparently a few around.

Fishing was pretty rough. Caught two bait fish and a few yellow tails under 12" long. We understood the fishing may be a little tough with the windy weather but seemed like we were just wasting time. New first mate. We hoped to catch a few fish to eat but spent more time trying to anchor (three times) with no luck. Im not an ocean fishing guide but have spent a few hours on my own boat and when its too windy and too much current to anchor I will usually head to a new area. Wish we would have tried a new spot or two and possibly a new tactic. We could have went to a bridge pillar and caught a few fish to eat. Would not recommend if the fishing may be tough.

Our trip with Aaron was enjoyable even with the choppy waters. Aaron’s boat was extremely clean and we felt safe aboard. He had radar/fish finder there to help pick a spot and dropped in some bait to entice the fish. He helped bait hooks for us which was very appreciated even by our more experienced angler. We caught mostly yellowtail and they were fun to reel in. Lines were snapped by some bigger fish so we’ll always tell the stories of the ones that got away! Thanks for helping make the trip happen.
