About Your Trip

If you’re ready to experience the world-class fishing that’s made the Florida Keys a bucket-list destination for anglers, Captain Sean is here to make your dream trip a reality! With over 35 years of guiding experience and a lifetime spent navigating the pristine waters around Key West, Captain Sean knows these backcountry and flats fisheries like the back of his hand. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or soaking in the scenery, this trip will have you hooked in no time.

You’ll be fishing aboard Captain Sean’s 17’ custom Action Craft skiff, perfectly designed to navigate the shallow flats and mangrove-lined backcountry of the Keys. Powered by a smooth and quiet 115HP Mercury PROXS 4-stroke engine, the boat is as reliable as it is comfortable, making it an ideal ride for two anglers plus the Captain. Equipped with premium gear, including Penn spinning tackle and Thomas & Thomas fly rods, this vessel is ready to help you land the fish of a lifetime.

When it comes to targets, the variety is endless! You’ll be sight-casting in gin-clear waters for Tarpon, Bonefish, and Permit—the iconic flats fishing trifecta. These species are known for their thrilling runs and acrobatics, offering both a challenge and adrenaline-filled fun. For a change of pace, you can target Barracuda, Cobia, Sharks, and Speckled Sea Trout, or reel in Pompano and Snapper to round out the day. With Captain Sean, every cast is an opportunity to create memories—and maybe even a trophy moment.

Your day on the water will include poling the skiff across shallow flats as you stalk fish in their natural habitats. Whether you prefer fly fishing, light tackle spinning, plug casting, or using live bait, Captain Sean tailors each trip to match your preferred style and skill level. His experience ensures that everyone—from seasoned anglers to first-timers—will have a blast.

Captain Sean provides all the tackle, rods, reels, and expertise you need to make the most of your trip. All you need to bring is your favorite snacks, drinks, and sun protection. With Captain Sean’s knowledge, the beauty of the Keys, and a boat perfectly outfitted for flats fishing, your adventure will be nothing short of unforgettable. Don’t wait—book your trip today and experience the best of Key West fishing!

My name is Sean and I was born in St. Petersburg Florida and I have been fishing basically my whole life. I moved to the Florida keys in 1980. I started my guide service in 1988. I get great satisfaction in exposing people from all walks of life to the amazing inshore fishery the Florida keys has to offer. My Boat is a 17’ action craft powered by a mercury 115 proxs. I prefer the method of poling the skiff while sight casting for flats species. Other times we may drift and cast artificial or live bait depending on time of year and conditions. My objective is to show customers a safe and fun time on the water while helping people of all skill levels to become better anglers and to have a great experience on their time on the water.
