About Your Trip

Our inshore trips offer a variety of different species of fish to catch while traveling a short distance. In May and June we recommend 4 or 6 hour trips due to where the best fishing is at the time. Sometimes we only have a 20 minute ride out other times it’s an hour and a half ride out. In July through September we recommend 6 or 8 hour trips due to a bit of a further ride to get to deeper water where the fish like to be in the warmer months (minimum of 90 minute ride each direction). This will maximize your fishing time and ensure that there is plenty of time for you to enjoy your trip and bring home plenty of food.

We do have a deckhand aboard the boat during trips to help with getting the gear rigged up and getting fish off the hooks. Other amenities we provide are water and snacks.

Usually for inshore fishing we either bottom fish for Black Sea bass, tautog, or scup. We also will troll or cast for striped bass in the rips that are scattered around vineyard sound.

Captain Jack brings a strong blend of passion, professionalism, and local knowledge to every trip off the iconic waters of Cape Cod. With 15 years of experience fishing these waters and a degree in Vessel Operations and Technology from Maine Maritime Academy, he’s got both the instinct and the training to put you on the fish and keep things running smoothly. He also holds a 200-ton captain’s license and works offshore with Kirby Marine, so when it comes to handling a boat—he’s as solid as they come.

Jack runs trips alongside his longtime friends and fellow captains, Bob and Tyler—whom he met as a freshman at Maine Maritime. Their tight-knit crew is the heart of what makes these trips feel both professional and personal. This is their second boat together, and they’ve poured their experience and energy into making every charter something special.

How did you get started guiding?

I started with a couple friends once we graduated college. We all knew different areas of fishing around cape cod so we put all our knowledge together and have a pretty good understanding of the fisheries no matter where we are now.

What makes you different from other guides?

What makes us stand out is we are young and ambitious to grow and show others how fun fishing can be.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
