With a full day to explore the rich waters of Bahía de Banderas, you’ll have the time and range to chase some of the region’s most exciting game fish—and do it all in comfort and style aboard a top-tier 28’ Bertram sportfisher.

This trip gives you the chance to hook into hard-fighting Roosterfish, high-flying Sailfish, and the always-popular Mahi Mahi. With more time on the water, Captain Steve will take you deeper into the bay and further along the coastline where these trophy species roam. You may also encounter Jack Crevalle, Spanish Mackerel, and Skipjack Tuna, especially as you work your way through prime feeding zones.

Whether you're an experienced angler or brand new to fishing, Captain Steve’s got you covered. All rods, reels, bait, and tackle are included, and the crew is more than happy to guide you through the action. Families are welcome aboard—this trip is kid-friendly and a fantastic way to introduce young anglers to the thrill of offshore fishing!

Your vessel for the day is a rugged and reliable 28’ Bertram sportfisher, fully outfitted for serious fishing and comfortable cruising. The boat features outriggers for wide trolling spreads, a live bait tank, tuna tubes, and a shaded cabin complete with a bed, kitchen, and private toilet—perfect for taking breaks between bites.

Beer is welcome on board, and the crew will clean your catch for you at the end of the trip, so you can bring home dinner or even take it to a local restaurant for a fresh-caught meal. The only additional cost is a $40 USD port fee per boat, payable at the marina.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip. Port fee not included $40 USD per boat
You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.
This trip is managed by an outfitter. Steve will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 60 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 60 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Captain Experience has not disappointed us yet. This is the second trip of have used them on first in Cancun and now in Puerto Vallarta both times with kids. This trip was everything we could ask for. Started off with the kids catching a handful of bait fish then we found a mother Humpback Whale and her calf that put on one hell of a show from 40 yards away. Ended the day with 2 huge Jacks and a great Spanish maceral. Captian Scoobie and his crew were amazing and it was an easy, safe and family friendly trip. Highly recommend.

Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.
Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
