About Your Trip

Black Sea bass fishing is fun because they are great eating, great fighting fish. We catch them often while porgy fishing, but can target bigger fish by using iron jigs and bucktails. These fish are beautiful and can top 6 pounds. When the bite is on, sometimes they even feed on the surface, but usually we get them in 20-50' of water. In the summer, we can get them in water pushing 90' while fluke fishing. They make the best ceviche around!

They fight great and the sport catching them is a blast. When you "get it", you feel like you will get one each and every cast. I love taking kids to catch them.. Plus, if you're using jigs, the porgy (scup) that you catch are usually HUGE.

I love this. Taking people fishing since 2004 and I still feel like a little kid. What I like most about my business is that I don't just do one type of trip. If it swims, I fish for it. And I appreciate the little things; seeing the sunrise, enjoying the seas, teaching kids and adults how to fish; how to best handle the gear. With some species, it's just amazing to target them (like giant tuna, sharks). Other species are great to eat and catch in numbers. Cape Cod is a great place to fish; tons of species to target. And warm waters!

Our season starts in April and ends in November. The "short list" is:

April: Squid.

May: Squid, porgy (scup), black sea bass, stripers/blues, fluke

June: Porgy, black sea bass, stripers/blues, fluke, bluefin tuna

July: Porgy, black sea bass, stripers/blues, fluke, bluefin tuna, sharks, bonito

August: Porgy, black sea bass, stripers/blues, fluke, bluefin tuna, sharks, bonito, false albacore

September: stripers/blues, fluke, bluefin tuna, sharks, bonito, false albacore

October: stripers/blues, bluefin tuna, sharks, bonito, false albacore

November: bluefin tuna

We fish off of Cape Cod, where I have been fishing since 1975!

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.

After booking your trip, we'll connect you directly with your guide to discuss additional details. In the meantime, our team is here to answer any questions via email, text, or phone.
