About Your Trip

Get ready to turn your next visit to Lafitte into a true bayou adventure with Captain Glenn at the helm! Known for its winding marshes, thriving estuaries, and unbeatable inshore action, Lafitte offers up one of Louisiana’s most exciting fishing playgrounds—and Captain Glenn is ready to show you the ropes. Whether you're an experienced angler or looking to make fishing memories with the family, this trip is your ticket to a day full of tight lines and bent rods.

On your journey through these fish-filled waters, you’ll be targeting a classic mix of Gulf Coast favorites—Redfish with their signature bronze flash, hard-hitting Black Drum, feisty Sheepshead, and Speckled Trout known for their acrobatic fights. With a mix of spinning, popping, bottom fishing, and other local techniques in play, you’ll experience a variety of action depending on the season and what’s biting. Captain Glenn will have you dialed in to what’s working that day and guide you every step of the way.

Your ride for the day is a sleek 22’ BlackJack bay boat, a solid and dependable platform designed to handle skinny water and get you into prime fishing territory. With room for up to four guests, it’s the perfect size for small groups or family outings. The boat is equipped with all the essentials you need for a productive day on the water, and Captain Glenn provides quality rods, reels, and lures to make sure you’re well-equipped to land whatever bites.

This trip is family-friendly and welcomes kids aboard for their first—or favorite—fishing experience. If you're bringing young anglers along, just check ahead of time about child-sized life vests. Light snacks and drinks are included, so all you really need to pack is your hat, sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray is best), and some bottled water to stay cool. You’re welcome to bring beer in moderation (just leave the hard liquor and glass bottles at home).

Before you cast off, make sure to look into local license requirements, as Louisiana regulations may require one depending on where and what you're fishing. Some species may also be tagged or seasonal, so having the most up-to-date info will ensure your trip is as smooth and fun as possible.

Whether you’re chasing bull Reds through the marsh or drifting for Trout in quiet backwater channels, a day with Captain Glenn is more than just a fishing trip—it’s a full-on Louisiana experience. Come ready to fish, laugh, and maybe even learn a local trick or two along the way!

About Your Guide

Glenn P.

Captain Glenn is a dedicated charter guide with lifelong experience on the water. As a child, Glenn spent most of his summers at the family camp fishing and shrimping. His family taught him love and respect for the outdoors and the waterways of south Louisiana. As an adult he worked hard on the water until Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated his hometown of Lafitte, LA. The commercial fishing industry was heavily impacted, and with a heavy heart he decided to switch careers. After earning his captain's license he worked in the oil and gas industry for the next 16 years, but never lost sight of his true passion for fishing. Now, he is excited to share his experience and love of the water with you as a full time charter guide!
