About Your Trip

Step up your offshore game aboard Captain Frank’s 44’ Contender, a tournament-equipped, high-performance vessel built for chasing down the ocean’s most powerful pelagic predators. With room for up to six anglers, this 10-hour Shark, Bluefin, and Mahi adventure out of Clarks Landing Marina in Point Pleasant, NJ is designed for serious fishing and unforgettable action.

Captain Frank brings over 15 years of experience fishing the East Coast and knows how to find the bite when
it counts. Whether you're targeting hard-charging Bluefin Tuna, colorful and aggressive Mahi Mahi, or apex predators like Makos, Threshers, and Blue Sharks, this trip delivers a full day of adrenaline-pumping offshore angling.

The 44’ Contender is a clean, comfortable, and fully rigged platform for big-game action. Outfitted with a full arsenal of tackle—from heavy trolling gear to chunking rigs and stand-up setups—the boat is ready for whatever the day brings. Captain Frank will tailor the strategy based on seasonal patterns, water conditions, and your target species. From trolling along temperature breaks to drifting over structure with a chum slick or scanning weed lines and debris for Mahi, every moment on the water is approached with purpose and precision.

Bluefin Tuna are known for their brute strength and blistering runs, pushing even experienced anglers to their limits. Mahi add a splash of color and excitement with their high-flying antics and aggressive strikes. And when it comes to sharks, watching a big one rise through the slick and make its move is a pulse-pounding experience you won’t soon forget.

This trip is perfect for groups seeking an immersive offshore adventure that combines skill, patience, and serious rewards. Captain Frank’s 44’ Contender is maintained with safety, performance, and comfort in mind, making it a top-tier platform for anglers of all experience levels.

To get the most out of your day, it’s important to come prepared. Offshore weather can change quickly, so bring rain gear and an extra layer, especially in the spring and fall. Sunscreen, a hat, polarized sunglasses, and a camera will go a long way toward keeping you comfortable and capturing the action. You'll want to pack your own snacks and drinks, and don't forget a cooler for your cleaned catch—just leave it in your car until the trip is done.

Please note that hard liquor and drugs are strictly prohibited on board. Beer is allowed in moderation, but excessive drinking or intoxicated behavior will result in the trip ending early. Firearms and large knives are not permitted. Captain Frank takes pride in his vessel, and any damage due to carelessness may result in a charge. Tipping the mate is customary and a 15–20% gratuity is greatly appreciated for their hard work throughout the day.

If you need to cancel, be sure to provide at least one week’s notice to avoid losing your deposit. Captain Frank will do everything possible to reschedule your trip, and if a new date can't be found during the season, your deposit can be rolled over to the following year.

When it comes to offshore fishing in New Jersey, this trip stands out for all the right reasons. With a veteran captain, premium gear, and the chance to go head-to-head with some of the ocean’s most exciting species, this 10-hour run offshore offers a one-of-a-kind day on the deep blue.
