Join Captain Josh for an exciting salmon and trout fishing adventure on Lake Michigan! Whether you're looking for a quick afternoon outing or a longer day on the water, Captain Josh offers 4, 5, and 7-hour trips designed to give anglers of all experience levels a chance to experience the outstanding Great Lakes fishery.

The 4-hour trips are offered in the afternoons, while the longer options allow for additional time to cover water and stay on productive fish. Throughout the trip, you'll be trolling a carefully planned spread of artificial lures and select dead bait presentations to target some of Lake Michigan's most sought-after species.

Depending on the season and current conditions, you'll be targeting King Salmon, Coho Salmon, and a variety of trout species. These fish are known for their powerful runs, hard fights, and exciting strikes, making every hookup a memorable experience. Captain Josh and his crew continually adjust lure selection, trolling speeds, and depths to match the day's conditions and keep lines in productive water.

You'll be fishing aboard a comfortable Great Lakes trolling vessel equipped for a safe and enjoyable day on the water. A dedicated first mate is always aboard to assist with setting lines, coaching anglers, and helping throughout the trip, ensuring a smooth experience from start to finish. The boat also features an enclosed restroom for added comfort during your time on the lake.

All rods, reels, tackle, and fishing equipment are provided. Be sure to bring a cooler with your favorite snacks and drinks for the trip, along with room for your fillets at the end of the day. Ice is provided after the trip to help keep your catch fresh for the ride home.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
This trip is managed by an outfitter. Josh will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.
Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
