About Your Trip

Costa Rica is one of the world’s premiere sport-fishing destinations. With some of the most amazing coastlines you will set your eyes on. It is full of wildlife and loaded with many species of fish, dolphins, turtles and whales. We have been fishing Playa Negra for years and have developed an incredibly fun and productive fishing program. Just a few miles off the shore we can find: Tuna, Snapper, Grouper, Jacks, Pompano, Roosterfish and farther offshore Sailfish, Marlin, Wahoo, Tuna, and Dorado.

To fish this area of the Guanacaste we have to really earn it. There is no marina, no gas station nearby, no tackle shop, no bait barges, or marine supplies. Its bumpy dirt roads and miles of rugged coastline. It takes a lot of heart and determination to chase these fish. But every seafood dinner tastes that much better when you know the catch is fresh and sourced with your own two hands.

Our 1993 26' Boston Whaler with twin 225 Yamahas is a great fishing boat. Comfortable and powerful our boat will get you to the fishing grounds in comfort and style. We are set up for trolling, jigging, bottom fishing and live baiting depending on the conditions and targeted species. We have two large coolers on board with ice for your fish, food and beverages.

Come visit a true small fishing town and experience the traditional feel of Costa Rica without the busy beaches and waterfront hotels. Our boat is moored in one of the very few natural harbors in Costa Rica formed by a volcanic reef. This is a trip for the true adventurers and fishing enthusiasts as well as families and children. We will customize your charter depending on your groups goals and experience. Captain Trever and Captain John are USCG Certified and have logged many years on the water and are both seasoned anglers with in depth knowledge of the local waters and fisheries.
