About Your Trip

The waters off Charleston, South Carolina offer some of the most productive offshore fishing on the East Coast, and Captain Robert and his first mate put you right in the middle of it aboard a 46-foot Post Sportfisher. This eight-hour offshore trip is built for serious variety, combining trolling for pelagics with bottom fishing for reef species and the option to try something a little different along the way.

Trolling targets mahi-mahi, wahoo, tuna, marlin,
and sailfish, the classic blue water spread that makes offshore fishing out of Charleston worth the run. When the situation calls for it, the crew shifts to bottom fishing, working structure for various snapper and grouper species along with whatever else is biting that day. For anglers who want to try something different, slow-pitch jigging is available on request, a technique that puts up a serious fight on surprisingly compact gear, with the reel doing most of the work while you hang on for the ride.

Everything needed to fish is provided, including all gear, fishing licenses, and permits. All you need to bring is your own food, drinks, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing for the day. A cooler with snacks and beverages is welcome aboard, and the crew can either store it in the galley refrigerator or find a spot for it in the cockpit, whichever works best for your group.

The 46-foot Post Sportfisher is set up for comfort as much as performance, with air conditioning, heat, and onboard restrooms, along with a galley featuring a refrigerator and microwave. An experienced captain and first mate work together throughout the trip to keep things running smoothly and put you in position to fish, not work.

When you're back at the dock, the crew cleans and bags your catch so you can take it home ready to cook.

Book a trip with Captain Robert out of Charleston and spend a full day offshore with a crew that handles the details so you can focus on reeling them in.
