This stretch of the Indian River Lagoon system runs through Daytona Beach and the surrounding area, offering miles of grass flats, oyster bars, mangrove shorelines, and tidal creeks that hold redfish, snook, spotted seatrout, and flounder year-round. The estuary is sheltered and calm, making it an ideal setting for anglers of any experience level, from first-timers to serious inshore enthusiasts who know what a healthy flat looks like.

Matt puts you on fish, not scenery. He reads the tides, works the structure, and knows which areas are holding fish on any given day across the Halifax and the surrounding backwater territory. You will fish from a Skeeter bay boat, a purpose-built inshore platform designed for shallow-water access and comfort, giving you the ability to reach fish in places bigger boats simply cannot go.

Redfish are the backbone of this fishery, tailing on the flats and pushing through the mangroves with the tide. Snook hold tight to structure and ambush bait in the current. Trout scatter across the grass flats and are often the most consistent bite of the day. Flounder round out the mix, lying in ambush along sandy bottom transitions and channel edges. All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
