About Your Trip

Get ready for a full-on fishing adventure with Captain Connor on his 6-hour ¾ day trip out of Biloxi. With more time on the water and access to a wider range of prime fishing grounds, this trip takes you beyond the typical inshore hotspots and up to the edge of the barrier islands, where the bite can get wild and the species list gets even longer.

Captain Connor grew up fishing these waters and knows
every channel, reef, and nearshore structure like the back of his hand. With four passengers max aboard his 22’ Triton Seaflight, you’ll have plenty of room to cast, fight fish, and soak in the natural beauty of Mississippi’s Gulf Coast. Whether you’re an experienced angler chasing your next big catch or just want to enjoy a laid-back day of rod-bending action, Connor’s got you covered.

This 6-hour trip opens the door to bigger and more varied targets, including Speckled Trout, Redfish, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Flounder, and, with the extra range and time, the possibility of hooking into sharks, Jack Crevalle, Tripletail, Cobia, and other species that roam near the islands. Depending on the time of year and conditions, you could be chasing tailing Reds, spotting Tripletail on floating debris, or trolling along current breaks for fast-moving pelagics.

Connor mixes it up with a range of techniques including light tackle, jigging, popping, trolling, spinning, and drift fishing, adapting to whatever’s working best to keep the action going. He provides all the bait, rods, reels, tackle, licenses, fuel, and ice—you just show up ready to fish. If you’re bringing kids, be sure to let him know ahead of time so he can have the right life jackets ready.

For comfort, bring along a small cooler with your food and drinks, and don’t forget your sun protection—sunglasses, a hat, and non-spray sunscreen will go a long way. At the end of your trip, Captain Connor will clean and bag any fish you want to take home, iced and ready to cook. Tips for fish cleaning are always appreciated.

From exciting nearshore battles to laid-back inshore bites, this trip is a great way to experience the full flavor of Gulf Coast fishing. Book your spot with Captain Connor and spend the day chasing some of the coast’s most exciting and delicious species.

I grew up in Ocean Springs Mississippi. I’ve fished all along the Mississippi gulf coast since I was a kid. I’ve always said that the coastal waters of Mississippi are my “Backyard” and that I’d never move away. I now live in Ocean Springs with a boat launch in the back of my neighborhood making it easier to access from my “backyard”.

How did you get started guiding?
I started deck handing for charter boats while I was in high school. I worked on several different boats. Once I started my career at the Ocean Springs Fire d Department in 2018, I decided to buy my own boat so I could run trips that aligned with my schedule.
What makes you different from other guides?
Over the years, I have worked for 10 different captains. I have learned a lot of do’s and dont’s from them. I’ve seen captains ruin good days and I’ve seen captains turn mediocre days into some of the best days people have ever experienced. I know that the attitude and effort of a captain can make or break a trip. I try my hardest on every trip to give the client what they signed up for when they paid for the trip.
