Eight hours on the Pacific out of San Diego with Captain Larry puts your group on some of the most productive offshore water on the West Coast. Departing at 6:30 AM and returning at 2:30 PM, this trip runs 10 to 30 miles offshore to the middle banks, local banks, and surrounding ridgelines where a genuinely impressive variety of pelagic and bottom species hold throughout the season.

The target list reads like a West Coast offshore bucket list. Bluefin and yellowfin tuna are the marquee targets, powerful open-ocean fish that test tackle and angler alike when they decide to eat. Dorado bring color and acrobatics to the mix, one of the most visually striking fish in the Pacific and a species that tends to cooperate when conditions are right. Yellowtail round out the pelagic spread with their trademark speed and stubborn fight, while rockfish offer reliable bottom action on the banks and ridgelines when the offshore bite calls for a change of pace.

Captain Larry runs a 31-foot center console purpose-built for this kind of serious offshore work. A large bait tank keeps live bait in prime condition throughout the full eight hours, state-of-the-art electronics keep the boat on productive water and fish-holding structure, and an onboard bathroom ensures your group stays comfortable across a long day offshore. All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Best way to spend my 40th birthday! We had a blast on the "Toda a Nada". The name says it all, "All or Nothing". Our Captain, Bruce was awesome and really put in the work to make sure we came home with fish in hand. When asked, "about what time does the charter end" his response was, "when we have fish in the boat". That's my kind of Captain! We did just that, pulled in 4 beautiful, hard-fighting, yellowtail. A total of 75 pounds. There was a processor there dock-side who took it straight from the boat to their shop. The next day our fish was cleaned and ready for pick-up. Great experience all around! Highly recommend!

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
