On your trip, you’ll target hard-fighting Blue Catfish using refined techniques that go far beyond the old “bait and wait” style. Jason has spent years dialing in the most effective methods to locate and catch monster blues, and he’s ready to share his expertise. If Crappie is your target, expect consistent action and plenty of insight as you work brush piles, ledges, and submerged structure for slab-sized fish.

For those interested in chasing Walleye, that option is available as well—just let Jason know when booking, as Walleye trips include an additional fee.

Every trip includes all rods, reels, tackle, and bait. Once the fish are in the boat, Jason will clean and fillet your catch at the end of the day, so be sure to bring baggies or a cooler to transport your fillets. You’ll also need to provide your own food and drinks, along with a valid Missouri fishing license.

I was born in the Chicagoland area. At the age of 2, my family moved to Missouri with my grandparents to open a bait station on Stockton Lake. We owned the bait station from the time I was 2 to the age of 13. It was there that my love for fishing and the outdoors began! Helping customers by dipping bait and weighing fish are some of my earliest memories. I also contribute a lot of my passion for fishing to my two uncles, Buzz and Jeep. They both helped me stay on the water as a young man and shaped my fishing passion into what it is today. As I got older, I was introduced to snagging for spoonbill and was instantly hooked! As a young man, catfishing was throwing bait on the bottom and waiting for the fish. Since then, I’ve opened my eyes to many new techniques. I have dedicated most of my time to learning and testing several techniques with fishing for monster bluecats on Lake of the Ozarks and Truman Lake using the most up-to-date electronics. Going beyond the old school ways of fishing has brought more fish into my boat than I could have ever imagined. These techniques better allow me to put my guests on fish. Being on the water every day, fishing with new people, and teaching them what I know – there is no better job! This brought me to obtain my Master Captain’s license through the Coast Guard. Let the adventures begin!

I was taking out all my friends and their family and friends wanted to pay me so I thought it would be a good idea for a earlier means to work for myself and live at the lake.

What makes you different from other guides?

I am not only about trying to catch your limits. I wanna show you a good day on the lake. It’s not all about how fast we catch our fish and go home. I also have an extreme passion for fishing! I fish every day, whether I get paid or not.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
