Last week, the trout and Pompano bite was red hot. A few Sheepshead are starting to arrive. Also several black drum got a ride to the dock. Awesome way to finish out the year.

I had a great half day trip with Ben last week. He knew a super place with lots of big Redfish. His custom designed skiff was made for gliding by and through the salt marsh. He rigged up my 8 wt with a 40# flourocarbon "tippet", tied on a hand tied fly, and we were off. Ben had me on fish all morning. I even caught some of them. Hope to go fishing with Ben again when in the Mobile area.

We took our first family fishing trip (3 hour inshore) today with Captain Reid and had the best time! We boarded his awesome boat in Fort Morgan and caught a variety of fish. Captain Reid was very knowledgeable, friendly and made sure we had a great experience. It was a very relaxing, laid back trip. Well worth the money. We look forward to another fishing trip soon.
