Winter is in the air! Pompano are on the flats along with trout and jacks and a few flounder, and sheepshead are on the rocks and nearshore reefs. Itâs a great time to get out and put some meat in the cooler .

It's winter time and shrimp fishing has been very productive for sheepshead, black drum, and redfish! But even with the water being freezing, sheepshead keep the action rolling! It gives all of the other species, like trout and snook, a break till it warms up!

Right now we are catching a lot of Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Hogfish, Cobia.

Scott with the cold snaps the sheepshead are moving in on docks and rock piles along with some mangrove snapper and key west grunts. On the warmer days in the afternoon between fronts the snook will come out and feed with some reds mixed in. Trout are feeding in some of the deeper grass flats and canals

\Lots of redfish, sheepshead and seatrout inshore. While nearshore the hogfish and gag grouper bite has been great!

With water temps cooler fish are showing up in groves. Water is clear and plentiful of fish with a guarantee of smiles.

This colder weather has pushed the snook and jacks into the rivers and creeks. Redfish continue to be found near deeper channel edges/docks. Some black drum have started to show up while fishing with live shrimp around structure as well as pompano while fishing for trout on deeper grass edges.
