Bait is still solid in Charlotte harbor. Still plenty of big and small tarpon. Snook are plentiful as they begin their usual migration up the rivers and are fattening up. 50 to 60 FISH days are common right now and it will continue until we get our first cold front. Going forward we will concentrate on trout and sheepshead when it does cool down, but as long as the water temperatures remain good almost everything will bite

The nearshore bites been strong with lots of cobia, a great goliath bite and lots of jacks and Spanish mackerel. The cobia are eating 2-3 inch pilchards and the goliaths are eating whatever big bait you can get to them however the hard parts stopping them!

Jake wanted to catch his first grouper (that wasn't a Goliath) and we got him on 2 red grouper and 3 gag grouper all out of season so released for an inshore slam today

Fishing around Pine Island/Matlacha/Sanibel has been heating up with these slightly cooler temperatures as we transition into fall. The delayed rainy season can make dialing in conditions on the water a little tricky but with the right tide and some sun you can definitely find the fish.
