Spotted sea trout are starting to push into the clearwater to St. Joseph Sound region. Mild temperatures have delayed their full migration, as it has in years past. Typically, multiple cold fronts that keep the water temperatures lower, will usher in more of the larger, female trout. However, there are a few small schools beginning to congregate. Several tactics are working especially this early in the season.

Redfish are plenty full. Although most are 22 to 25in. However, the larger fish are blending in with the mullet schools on most flats. Cut ladyfish, or pinfish cut or under a popping cork are working when casting directly into the mullet schools. Large shrimp have also produced results.
Since the water temperature has increased back into the mid 70’s, snook are still cooperating. They are responding to live sardines especially on the falling tides flowing out of the backwaters around the mouths of bays and canals. Targeting the main 3 species will change dramatically due to a cold front coming through tomorrow and cold fronts all the way through Christmas taking our temperatures from the high 70s to low 80s to mid-60s and as the days go on down to 50s as highs and 40s at night will make the fish move to completely different areas. tight lines
Well, two weeks ago, the water tem dropped 12 degrees in a day and a half due to a strong cold front that came over the state of Florida and shut down our inshore fishing bite one thing we deal with is acclamation, whether the water drop or rises, can shut the fish down for a few days so our focus is fishing around the hot water discharge at local power plants this actually opens up fishing opportunities for us what we only get when the temps plummet sharks, Pompano, Permit, and cobia are just part of the fish that...

Going out with Captain Brad was a great time. He is a no nonsense guide who went above and beyond to get us on the fish. Even in not so great weather, he made sure we all had a great time.
I brought my son down for a weekend of cast and bkast. We soent all day Sunday with Captain Vasiliy aka The Russian Redneck. He runs a very nice wellcraft center consolw. Boat is in great shape with lots if room.
We met at the boat launch around 0745 and after quick introductions we shoved off. A quixk stop at a marina baitshop on our way and the day began. We hit an area on tge way out fir maybe 30 min to catch some live baitfish and puahed offshore around 8-9 miles. Over our 8 hour charter we moved to several locations. If a spot got slow, pulled anchor and off to another. I didnt count total fish caught, but several dozen grunts, at least 15 grouper, a hog fish, some others im nor familiar with. We lost a couple big fish. Guessing they were goliaths.
I will absolutely go fish with him again. If youre looking fir a friendlt captain who keeps you on the fish this is the one.
My whole crew was extremely happy with excursion I was sick the whole trip so this review is for them. I’d recommend them very informative very nice and very caring.
We had an excellent time with Zack. He knew all the best spots to fish and made sure that we were successful. The day flew by and was a great time. Thanks!
We had a great time out on the water with Captain Jerry! He made sure we had ice, water, and plenty of bait. The weather kept us inland a little bit but he was flexible and moved to where the fish were. Our boys were very excited to catch two sharks, two pufferfish, a catfish, and several other types of fish, some of which we were able to keep for dinner. Thanks Captain Jerry!
Excellent day out on the boat with Capt. Charlie. We caught plenty of fish, threw some back in and had a good time. Capt. Charlie knew his fishing spots. Would definitely go again!!. Thank you Charlie.
