Summer time bite is kicking off with plenty of redfish, flounder, bluefish, and jacks. Tarpon, red snapper, and king mackerels are gonna be on the target list soon as well.

March 2026 This past week we had some spectacular two-hour trips with the younger crowd. Lots of action with some good whiting catches which is great for the dinner table. This past week we had some spectacular two-hour trips with the younger crowd. Lots of action with some good whiting catches which is great for the dinner table. Had quite a few in the fourteen-to-sixteen-inch range. The backwater trips produced some nice redfish and speckled trout. Most were caught using a live shrimp under a cork. The redfish were in the one-to-four-foot range with the trout being caught anywhere from four feet to 10 feet. There are still the big black drum around with bull redfish being caught at the jetties, when it's not rough.

Redfish bite has been great along with a good amount of sheepshead. As spring comes the Spanish mackerel, bluefish, and sea trout bite will pick up.
