Spring is here and the fish are arriving in force! One of the many fun types of fishing available in the Keys is the evening tuna bite. Though tuna can be found throughout the day, the closest thing to a wide-open frenzy occurs just as the sun goes down. We troll small baits, extra fast and far back. Multiple simultaneous hookups are very common. It’s fast, furious and doesn’t last long, but the great-tasting, hard-fighting blackfin tuna are a blast on light tackle! Most of the captains don’t market evening trips, but can consider adjusting times upon request. Regardless of fish, the famous Key West sunset is always gorgeous! They are very cool fish, when they are juvenile they have these very long plumes that light up in the water, they have to be 24 inches to the fork to harvest, I’ve got good spots for them if charters want to go for one
