About Your Trip

Come experience the Florida Keys on this incredible fishing adventure with Captain Justin! The Keys are a world-renowned fishing destination, and there's no better way to enjoy all that they have to offer than a trip aboard his 24' Sailfish. Captain Justin specializes in calm water, light tackle, “good times” fishing. This is ideal for beginner to intermediate anglers who are looking to bend some rods and hear the drag scream. Target species include Snappers, Groupers, Barracuda, and Shark. These will vary by season and weather, but rest assured—Captain Justin will put you on some awesome fish!

You'll be fishing aboard his 24' Sailfish center console, a fast and manueverable boat ideal for fishing nearshore areas. Features include an enclosed head (restroom), large live well, freshwater shower/saltwater rinse down, comfortable seating, T-top for shade, and a JL Audio stereo system with subwoofers.

The Sailfish has a variable deadrise hull that offers an incredibly smooth and comfortable ride, powered by a Suzuki 300HP engine with a maximum speed of 45mph. This is the only boat in the fleet that is equipped with LED lighting and offers night fishing and star gazing trips. Being a 24' single mono-hulled center console makes for the perfect fishing & diving platform. The Sailfish is the biggest boat in the shallow back country, and is more than capable of getting to the reef and beyond.

Captain Justin will provide everything you need for a successful day out on the water, from rods, reels, and tackle, to ice, water, and fishing licenses. All he recommends you bring are any snacks and drinks and he'll take care of the rest! Dont miss this amazing fishing experience.

Rapid Fire Guide Q & A

What’s the biggest fish you’ve caught?
13-15ft sawfish was biggest overall catch. My angler was 12 and did a great job, including full report to FWC including accurate GPS coordinates, and tackle used. Catch of lifetime for that young man, and myself.
If you were cooking for all your friends what would you cook?
Fish, either Beer battered snapper (Needs to be made with Natty light, or PBR), or wahoo ceviche. Depending on which was caught yesterday.

What’s your favorite band?
Variety is the spice of life. Mishka is a go to for chill time on water. AC/DC thunderstruck is booming when caught in the rain.
What’s your favorite movie?
Tommy Boy
What’s your favorite sports team?
My son’s little league team, and the Key West conchs!
What’s your drink of choice?
Water, water water, then maybe a dark rum and pineapple for a docktail.
What was your last halloween costume?
Minions with my family and three other families. A total of 17 of us speaking gibberish.
What do you want for Christmas this year?
Contentment from my three children
How did you get started guiding?
As a boat mechanic living in Key West I found friends and family I never knew existed. Friends of family coming down wanted to have a good time on the water. Eventually I legally needed to get the license and insurance. I didn’t choose to guide, it chose me.
What makes you different from other guides?
Being on and in the water and boats is my passion. Not only fishing, but diving, island/ sandbars, dolphin watching, and just cruising. As a marine mechanic by trade, I also find enjoyment in the maintenance and upkeep that comes with boating and charter fishing. All scheduled maintenance and repairs and done in house to ABYC standards. You’ll find our boats are a world apart from most old, dirty, and tired charter boats. Our vessels are kept to yacht standards.

Great fishing trip! Captain Mike and first mate Woody did a solid job of getting us into tuna, mahi, and our day was capped off when my son brought in a large sailfish. Lots of fun and recommend them for an awesome day on the water

The experience was great especially for our two grandsons. We did not have the captain that we expected. Nevertheless, our captain and first mate were very knowledgeable.
