Spring is here and the fish are arriving in force! One of the many fun types of fishing available in the Keys is the evening tuna bite. Though tuna can be found throughout the day, the closest thing to a wide-open frenzy occurs just as the sun goes down. We troll small baits, extra fast and far back. The migration of the larger pelagic fish are coming threw the Florida Keys on there way to the Gulf of Mexico. It is a site that only happens a few times a year. Sailfish, marlin, blue fin tuna, cobia, mahi-mahi, black fin tuna, ect. One of the best time of the year for us. It’s all site fishing with live bait. The numbers can be staggering. We caught and released 28 sail fish a few days ago. Only in 100' of water or less. Only 5 miles offshore. Exciting time in the keys. Come on down and go fishing.

They are very cool fish, when they are juvenile they have these very long plumes that light up in the water, they have to be 24 inches to the fork to harvest, I’ve got good spots for them if charters want to go for one
