Catching a lot of numbers as the water warms up. The Big girls will be going on the beds here in a bit with that moon phase here on Lake Okeechobee.
Still getting some decent numbers of peacocks- just need yourself a guide to show you where they're at! And the bite at Lake Okeechobee is starting to pick up. It's going to bust loose any day now!

Superb weather the past week made for great days on water. Plenty of sunshine and moderate wind days anglers enjoyed sunshine and rod bending action.
Channels and backwaters held plenty of tarpon, the bigger Tarpon finicky at times allowed anglers to witness tarpon temperament. Primarily due to the full moon the bite was hit and miss but the juvenile tarpon do have the same mind set as bigger fish at times, they like to eat if baits is around. Live baits and Rapala twitch baits.

Snook fishing was awesome the past week lots of small fish but all four species of snook were caught. Docks also held schooling fish, live baits and jigs worked around pilings got the strike. Fly fishing for snook for multiple days with anglers made for lots of surface strikes and great takes next to the boat.
Rock piles and wrecks held plenty of snapper, drum and schools of jacks, bluefish, lady fish and runners. Jigs and shrimp worked near the bottom got hit almost every drop, creating bent rod and happy anglers.
Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines!
Happy New Year! Hard to believe January has arrived, wishing everyone a healthy, happy fishing season. Cold arctic blast for south Florida is long gone, back to fun in sun. The waters are warming up and the fish are happy.
Tarpon fishing is turning back on water temperatures are rising triggering the silver king’s appetite. Outgoing and first of of incoming great times to target tarpon near channels and points, using live baits and DOA Terror Eyz. The tarpon are ranging in size from 5 to 50 pounds.

Snook fanatics the linesiders are abundant in channels and along mangrove shorelines. Live baits and Rapala twitch baits entice the strikes. Sea walls and docks holding snook, also bridges great area to locate bigger snook.
Jack cravelle have really shown up taking residence near channels and deeper holes. Small minnow schools have been abundant so the jacks are crashing these schools. Drum, snapper, bluefish and permit have also been around for anglers to tango with. Shrimp and small jigs near bottom get the strike.
Well that is the fishing report for the past week. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines!
Happy Holidays! Hope everyone had a great Christmas. The past week brought cheer, presents and very cold air to South Florida. Arctic blast!
The past week brought extremely cold air to the south Florida area. Snook fishing slowed down a bit as water temperatures plummeted. Snook were being caught, along seawalls, docks, channels and on mud flats. Live shrimp and DOA 3” shrimp great baits to get the strike.
Big schools of jack’s presented non stop action for anglers. DOA C.A.L. 3” shad tail, live baits and Rapala skitter walks all enticed jacks to strike. Bluefish, mackerel, drum, ladyfish, and...

Tarpon fishing was great before the front, as the front pushed through the tarpon locked down in deep cuts and channels. Once in a while, you would get a strike using a live shrimp or a Doa Terror Eyz.

Happy Holidays! Wishing you and your family a great Christmas. South Florida is finally getting some cooler weather getting anglers and fish in the holiday spirit.
Back bays and canals are great areas to target tarpon using live baits and Rapala twitch baits. Deep channels holding bigger fish. The high outgoing and first of incoming tide, great times to tango with the silver king.

The channel’s and deep holes have been areas to target schooling jacks ranging in size from 5 to 10 pounds. The jacks are aggressive striking Rapala skitter walks, creating awesome surface strikes. Mixed in with the jacks are croaker, drum, mackerel and ladyfish.

Seasonable weather has finally returned to South Florida. Moderate temperature days have made for great fishing and clean water. Fun in the sun and drag screaming action.
Clean water has made tarpon fishing exciting as anglers can sight cast to fish along channels and docks. Live bait and DOA Terror Eyz excellent choices to entice strikes. Mangrove shorelines are holding juvenile tarpon on the high tides, live mullet or small Rapala twitch baits get the strike.

Big schools of jacks have shown up and they are hungry. Top water Rapala skitter walks have been the anglers favorite choice bait for explosive action. DOA C.A.L. 3" shad tail and live baits also get the strike. The jacks are ranging in size from 2 to 20 pounds.
Channels and deep holes are holding a plethora of species for anglers to hook up with. Mackerel, snook, snapper, drum, blue fish and sharks get the drag screaming. The clean water has made it fun for anglers witnessing the strike from the fish. Does not get any better. As the water temperatures drop the fishing will continue to thrive as migratory species call our local waters home, for the next few months.

Jose was a great guy to spend the day with. Fishing was slow so we focused on iguanas. Could have filled up the boat with them if we had done our part. Did manage to catch a few fish too but the highlight was definitely the 🦎.
Had a great day with Captain Jose! We fished the Everglades and caught large mouth bass, cichlids, and even a peacock! Thanks Jose you are a great guide, very knowledgeable!
Brad was great captain and provided an awesome trip! He took the time to explain his rigs and allowed me to do more than just reel in the fish. I would not hesitate to go with Brad again
