Going good. Water temps are warming up into the upper 50's and should into the low 60's by next week. Fish are starting to move up into pre-spawn as well. Shooting Buffalo, Common Carp, and a few Longnose Gar, along with a Grass Carp occasionally. Water clarity has ranged from clear to muddy depending on locations.

Fish are starting to move up into the shallows as the water temperatures are getting warmer with these warmer spring-like days in southwest Missouri. Picture from a recent trip with a client.

I've been crappie fishing up on Truman Lake on the lower end fish have been between 20 and 45 feet deep, and water temperatures are about 35°. We've been breaking ice every morning to get to our fish. We've only started fishing again a couple of days ago as both of our lakes were frozen for the most part. Fishing has been good with lots of fish in the 10 to 11 inch range. We've been using double 8-ounce jig, heads with soft plastic and natural colors, dropping into the brush or the open water schools, and a slow retrieve

Blue cat on Truman Lake water temperature is currently 38°. Blue cat fight is on fire. We have been averaging 30+ fish a day with a few fish over 15 pounds. We have been fishing creek channels with heavy concentrations of bait in 10 to 30 foot of water on the upper Osage and upper Grand Arm
Crappie fishing on Truman is also really good with several fish being over a pound and a half every trip. Fish in the lower end of Truman Lake are in large schools on trees and brush in 12 to 25 foot of water....

Fish in the lower end of Truman Lake are in large schools on trees and brush in 12 to 25 foot of water. The fish on the upper end of Truman and the Grand Arm are in 7 to 15 feet of water on trees or roaming in coves. Best bite is natural shad colors.
Fishing has been excellent here. We are averaging between 30 to 50 fish per trip. Catching bass in shad schools in 50 to 70ft of water!
Hope you have a great Christmas!

Fishing has been excellent here on our lakes!
The bass fishing has been exceptional! Catching lots of numbers and quality jigging in ultra deep water around baitfish. The walleye are feeding up and are fairly shallow. We are catching them on jerkbaits and swimbaits.

5/8 – Out with a lone client today, he was able to pick up a limit in about 3 1/2 hours on a variety of jig colors. The day started out cold and rainy and by midmorning the sky cleared and it warmed up. Jigs, about 1.5 inches worked all day with darker colors being better in the morning and brighter ones working once the sun was up. The bank bite was consistent all day. 5/9 – Out with 2 clients today, the crappie bite was initially okay but slowed by midmorning. Talked with a few people on the water...

Talked with a few people on the water and that seemed to be the norm in the mid-lake area. The bank bite from the day before was off and the fish appeared to have pulled off the bank in 2 – 6 feet of water. The water level appeared to be dropping (water line on the bank) which may have had an effect. Also, some guys mentioned they were electroshocking parts of the lake which may have also had an effect.
Andrew was great! He was great with my 11 year old son, taught him some things about his equipment and fishing in general.
He was knowledgeable about the lake and had a game plan of where to go and when to adjust spots.
Landed this absolute monster catfish at the end as well! My son had a blast which is what it was all about!
I would highly recommend!
I went fishing with my grandson and had a great time. Our original captain was Brian, but ended up with Matt. He was an exceptional guide and teacher for us novices. He showed us how to hold and cast our line. We caught our limit, and ended throwing several back that were too big. I couldn’t be more happier with our fishing trip,
We are not experienced at fishing for trout and Blake was patient, fun and knowledgable of the best locations and techniques to catch amazing fish. We caught 43 fish on the trip and had a lot of fun. We had an awesome time with Blake and will definitely book with him again!
Michael is great!!! He was so knowledgeable and friendly. Was great with my teenage son. Taught him a ton and related really well with him. We caught an enormous amount of bass. Has the knowledge and skill set for any level of angler. Would highly recommended fishing trip with Michael. We will do it again.
Cody is a great Captain! Friendly always willing to help. He puts us on fish every spot. He was a huge help to my boys and myself. We will be using him in the future.
You cannot go wrong with Derek as your guide. He is fun and engaging doing everything he can to make your trip memorable. We had the best time and will definitely request him again.
