- Beaches and nearshore flats: Sight fish for redfish along sandbars and back of the beach troughs — sight casting with shrimp, topwater plugs, or jerkbaits when you can see wakes or tailing fish.
- Offshore/open water: Late‑March offshore bite is developing — opportunities for wahoo and swordfish. Expect trolling or deep‑water techniques for open‑water pelagics.
Tips
- Fish tides and solunar peaks for best action; check exact tide times for your launch spot.
- Calm, clear conditions favor sight‑fishing for reds and trout — approach quietly and watch for tails/wakes.
Fishing has been really good in the river and the ocean. Had some sailfish action several weeks back along with a bunch of snappers, cobia, black drum, and snook. There was a huge School of black drum that were just outside Port Canaveral for several days. I'm out of town until next week.

The Mahi are showing up!!!
Its getting to be that time of year when "The Green Guys" make their way through The Keys!!!
If this year's bite is anywhere close to last years, it will be awesome!!! Last year we averaged about 26 inch Mahi.
Somedays were better than others but we caught fish!!!
The thrill of the hunt and hearing the drag peeling off is what makes it fun!!!

This was a fantastic trip! We left early and were out for 12 hours and we had a blast! We caught Tile, Golden Tile and Sea Bass. The 1st Mate also helped us clean the fish. I highly recommend this Captain if you are looking to have fun.
Captain Branden was amazing! Our 14-year-old and his best friend went fishing with him, and both caught Mahi. After catching it, Brandon cooked it up for lunch. They said it was the "best fishing trip" they had ever been on (and they have done a lot). Will definitely book with him again. A great day!
Jake was more then great with our group, from the beginning he showed us kindness and walked us through everything, great guide and friend to talk to out on the water, caught some hogs while with him, had a great time👍💪
Captain Stratton and first mate Kian were awesome to fish with. Knowledgeable about the waters, what’s biting and where. We’d book with him anytime we’re in Hilton head
