The winds are not the problem, it is the salinity in the water that is causing it to be difficult to find fish, salinity is 3 x's what it should be due to the lack of fresh water.

The end of July into all of August means.. BIG SHARKS. Are shrimp season ends and big tiger sharks come hungry within our rage. A well placed bait will offer these fish a healthy meal and the opportunity for a catch of life time for our clients! We've put clients on absolute giants this month and we're ready to put more people on these big tiger sharks! Get with us asap before there gone !

Great Snapper Season and we've been getting lots of smaller Dolphin (Mahi Mahi). Kingfish are slow but those being caught have been smokers

Rockport has been steady with good trout holding in the deeper water in late morning. Red fish are still hit or miss. Still having best results on wade trips.
Lower Laguana: nice trout being caught on croaker and artificial up and down the king ranch shore line. Best bite is early morning. Once the winds pick up, bite is dying off quickly.

Fishing has continued to remain consistent. Trout have been great early along deeper grass lines and rock beds throwing croaker and shrimp. Reds are showing up in the flats in big schools and are getting ready to make their spawn run. Flounder have been on channel edges in big numbers. Drum have also been showing up around spoil islands. They have been easy to spot. Dead shrimp on a 1/16 to 1/8 ounce jig head has shown great results.

Well floundering. has been great. 15-20 flounder every night. The biggest one was 19 1/4 inches long average being

With the tide being so low the fish have been staging along deeper drop off and trash lines. Look for bigger schools of mullet in these areas and/or slicks popping up. The trout have been great on croaker, the reds are feeding on piggies and cut mullet, the flounder and drum have both been coming on live shrimp.

Fishing has been real good on croker for trout and live shrimp under popping cork. Trout bite hit hard early morning on croker, and live shrimp later morning. Top water lures early morning have been good as well for trout.
Reds have been getting more plentiful. Cutt bait using skipjack or mullet, after 10:30am as been working well.
I have had a lot of luck on popping cork early with live shrimp.
