We had some fantastic weather this week with Light winds and calm seas. The trout fishing has been good in the basins on artificial lures. With a mix bag of pompano , jacks , lady fish and blacktip sharks. The bottom fishing continues to be great with plenty of action catching grouper, snappers, lots of jacks, barracuda and a few Cobia are starting to pop up. Despite recent heavy winds in Key West, inshore fishing has been exceptionally productive. Anglers are experiencing abundant catches of various snapper species, including mutton, lane, and yellowtail snappers. Additionally, there’s been plenty of action with sharks, barracudas, and mackerels, providing thrilling rod-bending experiences. The current weather in Key West features mostly cloudy skies with temperatures around 77°F. The forecast for the upcoming days indicates pleasant conditions, with highs in the low 80s°F and lows in the mid-70s Despite the windy conditions, inshore waters have remained fishable, allowing anglers to enjoy excellent fishing opportunities. The presence of various snapper species such as the highly sought after mutton snapper , we've also filled coolers with mangrove yellowtail and lane snappers as well along with sharks, barracudas, and mackerels, has contributed to the dynamic and rewarding fishing experiences in the area. For those planning to fish in the coming days, it’s advisable to monitor weather updates as winter time conditions here in the tropics do change frequently and are sporadic
Zak was an excellent captain and guide! He kept us safe and comfortable for the ride and took us to the perfect sandbar location. We’ll be booking him again next girls trip to Key West!
Dayron was a fabulous guide. It began with great communication and ended with a bunch of snappers ready for the frying pan. Dayron was accommodating, knowledgable and a lot of un to fish with. I would highly recommend the next time you want to go fishing in the Captiva Island area.
Cot Lou was professional, prompt with communication. We had a great day catching fish, he was great with 16 year old grandson and cared about our comfort throughout the 4 hour trip. I would highly recommend him, have already referred him to friends.
