Tarpon and snook fishing has been consistent with over 5 fish per trip, Mahi mahi on the big game trips are in season and have been a secure catch sailfish are averaging 4 bites per boat on a full day.

We are having the most insane season. Some boats even braking world record releases in a day. The new record is 25 blues in 1 day. They did it 3 days ago. The trilo bite out of cap cana marina. We released 10 blues last week in 1 day. Also did 2 grandslams in November

Today went 6/9 blue marlin and 1 sailfish and released our 100th bue marlin of the season 2024.

Tarpon of all sizes are in the lagoons. Morning action has been better than afternoon. October, November and December are great months for Tarpon fishing in San Jose and Torrecillas Lagoons.

Fernando took me fishing in the lagoons around San Juan and did an excellent job teaching, conversing, and putting me on huge tarpon. He's a great guide and speaks perfect English (and Spanish) for those from the States. His style of fishing is a bit more active for both him and the client, as he will pole the boat in shallow water to sight-fish for monster tarpon feeding in the shallows. We had a great trip - if I did a better job taking his instruction I could have landed three or four tarpon. As it was, this novice bass fisherman landed one beautiful tarpon, hooked another monster that got away, and missed hook-sets on two others. It was an exciting day!

Patrick was AWESOME. This guy is completely LEGIT. He has dedicated his life to fishing and it shows. He is absolutely fantastic with kids. The way he fishes was very interesting and we are very glad to have had this experience. I would recommend to anyone. i cant support him enough. We were a party of 4 and only went half day and wished it was longer. He is super helpful not only on the boat but also on the island with any other question. He was a great resource for us and even steered us in a direction to find freshly caught lobster for our group. Cant say enough about Patrick. Will definitely come back. CM
