Another good day on the water with Jim LaPointe. Had some absolute great weather and great fishing. several snook and reddish and a baby tarpon on fly. Love this time of the year.

Offshore has been hit or miss with mahi with a few good fish here and there . Finding some some nicer size triple tails on floaters occasionally . Tuna bite continues to be pretty consistent with some bigger fish coming up for live bait . Deep dropping for vermillion and...

Offshore has been hit or miss with mahi with a few good fish here and there . Finding some some nicer size triple tails on floaters occasionally . Tuna bite continues to be pretty consistent with some bigger fish coming up for live bait . Deep dropping for vermillion and yellow eye has been decent as well
Shallow patches and wrecks have been on fire with yellow jacks . We had to mercy rule a few schools with multiple 10 pound plus fish being caught as well . Flag yellowtail have been finicky but managed some great bites on live bait drifting around wrecks .
Overall fishing has been solid especially with the return of large schools of pilchards making their way back to the Channels .

Still doing well on the snook in the backcountry of Everglades National Park. First 2 pics are from a father and son from Nashville. Next 3 were 3 of the 4 snook from the ABC Islamorada Backcountry Tournament.

As the storms pass by us the winds have calmed and the seas are coming alive with an abundance of fish.
The Black-fin Tuna have moved into town and the bite has been red hot! Catching most fish by early morning with most bites at first light.
Snook season is here and we are seeing tons of Snook across the shallow flats and along several mangrove islands.
The month is looking very calm and filled with opportunities to catch some real nice fish!

Matt Green and sons, AJ and Aiden, had an outstanding day in the backcountry near Flamingo in Everglades National Park. The boys caught about 20 snook (we lost count!), redfish, jacks, trout and saw lots of sharks! They even got to see bottlenose dolphin and a bald eagle to round...
