Fishing on west Galveston bay continues to be on fire. Croaker and live shrimp continue to produce good boxes of fish. Some days we concentrate on red fish, other days we concentrate on trout then we finish out the day working on red fish.

Fishing has been excellent the last few weeks on Galveston bay. Lots of trout and redfish up shallow on sandbars in clean water has been the ticket for wading following the schools of mullet. Trout and bull reds have been thick in the surf when the wind allows. Mid bay reefs have also produced a solid trout bite in 4-6' of water

Fishing been good on live croaker working oyster reefs anywhere in the bay system. East, West, lower and trinity are all producing speckled trout on croaker. Just key in on moving tides for best results.

Last couple weeks I've been chasing billfish on the A-Team (55' Viking). Fishing has been pretty good at the edge of the shelf. 2 more tournaments to go and then it's tarpon time thru October.

Although my traditional fishing areas for this time of year aren't producing very well, I have found some other areas that are producing . Some customers are wanting to only catch redfish and I have been fortunate to locate some . Some customers have been wanting speckled trout. And some days they cooperate and we are able to get our limit early before it gets too hot. And some days we have to work for them. Speckled trout have been best on live croaker. And the redfish have been consistent on popping cork and shrimp.

The Red Snapper bite has been decent this year in 100 -200ft of water, and the King Mackerel bite is in full swing the past few weeks. Even a few stray Mahi every now and then.

Fishing remains consistent when the weather has made it possible to fish. Still plenty of trout in most spots, with the typical higher numbers of juvenile trout caught in summertime. Still finding trout in Galveston Bay suspended in 6' of water close to oysterbeds. We've been seeing plenty of redfish if the customers are willing to wade and/or pay extra for croaker as bait. Shrimp had yielded mostly undersized trout and unwanted by catch.

Had awesome time with Traver! Really good guy and he will put you on the fish. We did a 6 hour trip and caught a mixed bag of redfish, black drum and flounder.
Our family had a blast with Captain Conner! He was so kid friendly for our three boys and helped create a very memorable experience for everyone! We would 100% use this service again for a future fishing trip…our boys are already asking when we can go again.
Michael is definitely the trout man!! We were on fish from the moment we hit the first spot. Limited out quickly and had a blast fishing for the remainder of the day. Planning to book again in the fall. He’s a Great guide!!!
Captain Lance gave us the shark trip of a lifetime! From the moment we got on the boat, he was professional, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone had a great time.
We ended up catching some big stingrays and several awesome sharks, and every fight had us pumped. Captain Lance worked hard to keep us on fish and was always willing to help, answer questions, and make sure we had the best experience possible.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable day on the water and want a real shot at catching some monsters, I can’t recommend Captain Lance enough. We’ll definitely be booking another trip with him. Thanks again for making it such an incredible experience!
Great experience with Pedro, caught many species of fish by the jetties, then we went after sharks and we hooked 2, one 4ft black tip (amazing areal show) but broke my lines, then a hammer head that was 6ft plus but broke out line right at the boat, all in all great outing.
Out guide, Kevin, did an excellent job, and I would highly recommend him. There were four of us in our group including 2 experienced anglers, one semi experienced, and one who was very inexperienced. Kevin did a great job keeping everyone involved, baited, and altered approaches based on skill level. He worked very hard to put us on fish. He even cleaned our fish at the end of the trip. Again, I would higly recommend.
