Launched out of Golden Meadow, Louisiana to target redfish. We fished the marsh hitting points. Didn't have much luck. So I changed tactics to look for deeper moving water with structure. We free lined live minnows into the structure and pulled out 25 redfish. All redfish caught 16" to 27"....

Launched out of Golden Meadow, Louisiana to target redfish. We fished the marsh hitting points. Didn't have much luck. So I changed tactics to look for deeper moving water with structure. We free lined live minnows into the structure and pulled out 25 redfish. All redfish caught 16" to 27".
Day 2 of the trip we decided to go after some bull reds. So we cast netted live mullet then traveled to the mouth of a deep cut that empties into Lake Raccourcie. Used cut mullet on bottom and caught 5 bull reds and a few bull sharks. After half of the day spent on fighting bulls we decided to head back to the spot we caught and released all the slot redfish the day before. We showed up and found the slot reds right where we left them.
