With the cooler water temperature setting in for Fall we have transitioned to more bottom Fishing with good catches of black Seabass, trigger fish, founder and other bottom species…
And there is still good king mackerel and red drum fishing Inshore… There is still good mahi and tuna fishing offshore. We will be starting our nearshore bluefin tuna fishing trips starting in November.

Recent Everglades trip produced a special moment when a longtime fishing buddy put everything together and landed a new personal-best largemouth bass at 6 lbs on a hollow-body frog. High water made conditions challenging, but persistence paid off. We caught a handful of bass, with the big fish being the clear highlight of the day. Great reminder that sticking with a technique and learning the details can lead to a fish you’ll remember for a long time.

Inks Lake is at a normal level with stained water and temperatures around 79°. The fishing has been excellent lately, with some of the best action coming from schools of quality bass feeding heavily on large gizzard shad around offshore rock.
Big topwater baits and large swimbaits have been producing well when targeting these feeding schools. Finding areas holding good concentrations of gizzard shad has been the key to locating active bass, and once the right group of fish is found, anglers have opportunities to catch multiple quality fish from a relatively small area.
