Scallop season is off to a strong start in Steinhatchee! Many people are reporting good numbers, with many boats finding limits. Water clarity has improved on calm days, making for excellent visibility in the shallows. The best results are coming from 3 to 6 feet of water. As always, harvest responsibly, leave the small scallops to grow, and fly a dive flag while in the water. It’s shaping up to be another great season

The Snapper bite has been really good lately. We've managed to get our limit of Red Snapper on all trips so far, as well as picking up a "bonus" fish (Mangrove Snapper) occasionally. The trolling bite has been off due to the heavy rain water that we've recently gotten. Get a group of 6 together and Let's Go Fishing!

Last week got unexpectedly busy with lots of fish biting!
Snook are in their annual spawn and fortunately for me it takes place right off the beach 🏖️, my wheelhouse. The snook are big and hungry and the most effective method of targeting them is sight fishing large live baits 🎣. It's a blast and most charters don't do this because it would be difficult to chase from a boat. They don't often use the same baits that I use because it's not a standard bait you can buy and absolutely wreaks havoc on big snook. My style offers a...

Other species like Seatrout, Black drum, Pompano, Sheepshead, whiting and ladyfish are also cooperating.
With the mid summer underway, I recommend getting out earlier like 8 or 8:30AM to beat the heat 🥵.
As things change to our Midsomer patterns. It’s all about the availability of the bait. That drives the fish bite. When we get the strong outgoing tides near the new and full moon, pass crabs are flushing out of Tampa Bay in big numbers. This is one of our favorite scenarios to catch Tarpon. It concentrates the fish and they are focused on those little crabs.
Also, the second hatch of sardines has exploded, and the flats are covered. The small Bait are exactly what the mangrove snapper are looking for solid catches of snapper daily now. We are still...

Awesome to fish with!! Very knowledgeable and super eager to get my two 8yr olds on some fish. Will definitely be going out with Captain Carl again. Awesome time!!
We had a great trip with captain bill this morning! The fish weren’t cooperating at first but we ended up getting on some bait fish and some massive black tip sharks! We didn’t leave empty handed and we had one heck of a fishing experience! Bill will get you on some fish
Blake accommodated our location by coming 30 minutes closer to Navarre, great start. We fought some wind but overall had a great afternoon. Blake was very knowledgeable and courteous to my two young boys, which for me ensures he’ll get our business again. The highlight of the day was our rescue of a pelican wrapped up in fishing line, absolutely amazing to see and watch Blake in his element, saving wildlife. A hands on miracle!
We arrived at the Dock to meet the Captain and get our trip underway ,Captain Tommy was awesome right from the start not to mention very nice boat with a lot of room and very fast !!! He was an awesome Fisherman and would teach and show his skill’s and would answer any questions. Captain Tommy would absolutely put you right on the fish , if he didn’t like a spot he would drag and go somewhere else !! 10 out of 10 for us ,we would always book him if we are in the area. Hope to get him up to Destin sometime!!!
Captain Bryars put us on the fish early and often. Deckhand Logan was very attentive, and helped my son with his personal bests (plural). Great charter for children and adults alike. Can’t recommend enough!
Had awesome time with Traver! Really good guy and he will put you on the fish. We did a 6 hour trip and caught a mixed bag of redfish, black drum and flounder.
