🎣 The Indian and Banana River Lagoons near Melbourne, FL are fishing incredibly well right now! It's grand slam season, and we're seeing Snook, Tarpon, Redfish, Black Drum, and Sea Trout, many times even on the same trip! On top of that, there's plenty of mangrove snapper and ladyfish keeping things exciting. The water levels are coming back up and the fish are returning to their preferred habitats of flats, mangroves and docks. It's a great time to fish!

With most of my focus sight fishing and throwing top waters at first light we have mostly been catching Big Trout and Reds. We did get a couple of king fish in the inlet. Lots of Bull Reds in the inlet right now and for the next couple of months.

Trout fishing continues to be very good with many larger over 20 inch fish being caught in the Mosquito Lagoon mostly using pig fish. We’re seeing groups of tailing redfish on the grass edges of the shallow flats large schools of Spanish mackerel and Bonita have been running. The beaches can be caught using a small drone spoon. The mullet run should be kicking off anytime now. Look for large schools of Mullett along the beach getting crashed by Tarpon, Jacks and King Fish. I have dates available.

🎣 The fishing was good to very good last month on the Indian and Banana River Lagoons near Melbourne, FL. The pattern has stayed the same. Snook have been the most consistent bite followed by Mangrove Snappers, Seatrout, Redfish, and even some Sheepshead. There are some Tarpon around as well. The water is very, very hot right now so the best bite is early on everything. Think sunrise to 0830. Half or 3/4 days are all you need!

The Ponce Inlet area had really been heating up. And I mean that literally. With water temps in the mid 80s many species have been pretty active. For the past two weeks we have had Kingfish (king mackeral) on the beaches so just about every drop with bait you are hooking up. This is great if you are targeting them but otherwise they are going to bite you off. Tarpon still very active with mixes of 20-40 lb fish and 100lb plus fish.
