The Ponce Inlet area had really been heating up. And I mean that literally. With water temps in the mid 80s many species have been pretty active. For the past two weeks we have had Kingfish (king mackeral) on the beaches so just about every drop with bait you are hooking up. This is great if you are targeting them but otherwise they are going to bite you off. Tarpon still very active with mixes of 20-40 lb fish and 100lb plus fish. 🎣 The fishing was good to very good last week on the Indian and Banana River Lagoons near Melbourne, FL. Snook have been the most consistent bite followed by Mangrove Snappers, Seatrout, Redfish, and even some Sheepshead and Spadefish. There are some Tarpon around as well!

Ponce Inlet area is producing as expected for this time in June and had thrown in a few surprises. With the regular slot and just over slot reds and Snook we are seeing nice numbers of tarpon and last week were catching Permit in the inlet. The permit and tarpon coming on flat lined Select Shrimp and small Blue crabs.

Couldn’t recommend enough. Kenny was really knowledgeable, a great coach, had a great set up and made sure we had plenty of decent catches. We also got the opportunity to spot some local wildlife along the way. Would definitely book with him again in the future.
