Whirlwind! Everyday brought different direction of winds the past week. The warmer waters helped keep the fishing consistent.
Snook fishing provided anglers steady action, wether live baiting or using Rapala twitch baits both created drag screaming action. Mangrove shorelines, docks and seawalls great areas to find the linesiders. The past week provided multiple species of snook for anglers common and fat snook most prevalent.
The channels and drop offs have provided steady action for a wide variety of species. Jacks, mackerel, snapper, ladyfish, snook, drum and many other fish being caught. Shrimp, jigs and top water Rapala skitter walks all...

methods to entice strikes. Anglers had great numbers of fish during outings, many trips averaged 8 or more different species. Always fun when you never know what’s going to strike on the other end of the line.
Well that is the fishing report for the past week hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines!

On and off, Up and down, hot and cold, all opposites, all antonyms, all ways to describe the way fishing has been for the last several weeks. There have been good days with some catches of trout and reds and there have been some great days of reeling in some 30-40 lb. Drum. But there have also been some days where I wished I would have stayed home. All in all the tide is turning and there's going to be some better days ahead. The live bait is changing and the fish will be jumping.

Mid February is living up to its potential, weak fronts, windy conditions and plenty of sunshine. Florida issues, but for anglers frustration builds as winds due.
Locating Snook! Anglers can target mangroves, docks, seawalls, bridges and other structures for great action. Live baits, DOA C.A.L. 3” shad tail and for fly anglers clousers and deceivers get the strike.
Bottom structure is key when weather conditions get tough for anglers. My groups had great success catching a plethora of species working shrimp and small bucktail jigs near the bottom. Most species caught during our outings the past week was 13 different...

We have a very consistent trout bite with the current size ranging from 15"-21" along with a few kicker fish over 24". The snook have come out of the freeze pretty strong and we are catching good numbers of 18"-25" snook in creeks and canals where the water is warmer. Out on the flats we are having a fantastic season for redfish. My clients can expect 20 shots in a half day of fishing but the fish are challenging! The shallow winter pattern combined with crystal clear water will test any anglers abilities who targets them. They're a great warm...

The shallow winter pattern combined with crystal clear water will test any anglers abilities who targets them. They're a great warm up for bone fishing! We are getting shots at singles and schools of up to 50 fish. The average size for the redfish is getting better as well with most fish over 24" and some of the reds on the flats are over 30". They're a fly fisherman's dream!

Last week brought very windy conditions for our local waters, cool front passed through bringing 40 knot winds and showers.
Targeting snook was mainly done around leeward points and cuts due to the winds. Smal fish were caught near docks and drops offs. Live baits and DOA Curl tails bait of choice.
Gusty winds made it fun for fly anglers, but that’s when night fishing comes into play. Dock lights and bridges areas to locate snook, tarpon and many other species. Small deciever flies and live baits get the bite.

January was a wild month hot, cold, windy, calm we experienced it all. So many different conditions led to many different species and situations to target fish. Lots of bent rods and smiles.
Snook fishing was great the past week lots of small fish but an abundance of them along with multiple Spector snook being caught. Mangrove shorelines, docks and bridges all areas holding linesiders. Live baits, Rapala twitch baits and flies all got the snook hooked on the line.

The snook bite has been really good the last couple of weeks with the warm weather. The water has been gin clear with lots of schooling reds and trout. The potential for a solid inshore slam is daily

The fishing the rest of this winter and spring is going to be one for the books. We are consistently getting 20+ shots in a half day. Quite of few of these shots are at schools of 10-30 redfish or black drum. The water is crystal clear and the fish are feeding great on artificials and flies. We are commonly catching "lagoon slams" of trout, black drum, and redfish on fly and spin. The best times to book are the days leading up to a full moon to witness the most schooling activity but the fishing has been good all...

Todd brought us to the spot and we started catching right away. Got enough to feed 6 the next day. He is always baiting the hook or doing something for us. I would love to go with him again. David Doyle

The four of us had a great time fishing with Captain Todd! We did a quick morning trip and it was just enough for all of us to catch a handful of fish. Todd was very knowledgeable and a great guide. Would definitely go again!

Todd was great! Very informative regarding species of fish being caught. He cleaned our fish we kept as well. It was awesome being able to eat fresh catch same day! We will definitely make this an annual event during our beach trip from now on.
