We are doing well catching huge numbers of bass putting 50-80 bass in the boat each trip. We are targeting large schools of nomadic offshore bass that are suspended over 30-100 ft of water. Small soft plastic jerkbaits are the ticket!

Stillhouse Hollow Lake - Awesome fishing right now for huge numbers of good sized bass. We are catching bass from schools that are roaming open water in search of shad. Use your electronics to find them and then use a weightless soft jerkbait to catch them!

Low water levels!! Very hot, and warm water... need to get out there early and late if your trying to get on some nice fish! With these low levels... means spookier fish, especially the carp. The sight casting as been second to none though. But, the difficulty has gone up...

Low water levels!! Very hot, and warm water... need to get out there early and late if your trying to get on some nice fish! With these low levels... means spookier fish, especially the carp. The sight casting as been second to none though. But, the difficulty has gone up immensely. Definitely need to being your A-game, patience, and a motivation to hook up with these elusive critters. The bite is there if you move about like Yoda. The cfs seems to be very low as well, so fish have been in pools here in central texas. But midday fishing is almost impossible right now.

Decker- We are doing well chasing actively feeding bass on the surface with soft jerkbaits. Just keep your eyes peeled for surface activity around the lake. Decker- We are doing well chasing actively feeding bass on the surface with soft jerkbaits. Just keep your eyes peeled for surface activity around the lake. Depth doesn't really matter as these fish are nomadic and following schools is shad. During lowlight conditions they tend to push the shad into shallower waters, but during high sun periods, they chase the shad out over deeper water. They stay near the surface though.
