Redfish
are also stacked up in the creeks using the same tactics and bait. Numbers are sufficient to make for an exciting day on the water but most are under slot.
The big flounder are in and ready to eat. Target them along the ICW as well as creek holes using a mudminnows on a jig head. Work it slowly on the bottom until you feel that bump and wait just a few seconds before setting the hook. You won’t be disappointed.

Fishing report 11/11/22 :
Had the pleasure of fishing two great clients, Jorge and Rob. We started the day out free lining live mullet and jumbo shrimp to snook and rolling tarpon. After a couple missed hook ups we lost the moon over the horizon and the tarpon stopped rolling
so we headed off into the back country. Searching out protected holes and cuts we started catching numbers of slot trout, redfish, and small snook on both live shrimp and artificials. Around noon we made our way back out of the back country, as the wind increased, and found safe harbor in a waterfront bar and grill to refuel for the afternoon fishing. Post chargrilled oysters and rum runners, Jorge and Rob returned to the flats to catch a handful more trout and redfish to bring the days total to somewhere around 20 trout, 7+ redfish, and 3 snook.

The reds are beginning to to school up better
coming off of the spawn but with the high water it’s been difficult to find good slots but using a live mullet on a popping cork will work. Target them along the grass and oyster bars.
The black drum are bitting steady near the inlets and deep holes in the creeks. Shrimp is always your best bait to entice them.
The flounder bite has been decent still and the big girls have moved in to the ICW. Target them by using a 1/4oz jighead or smaller depending on the current with a live finger mullet, mud minnow or shrimp. Just be patient and you’ll hook up with some really nice flatties.

Lagoon stays good and fish are chewing. Both reds and trout are eating soft plastics top water and cut bait. We are catching near shore lines as the water stays high. Call now and book a trip!

Fishing in mosquito lagoon and around new Smyrna beach has been awesome post hurricane Ian. The cooler temps have the trout moving up on the flats and piling into the "trout holes" while the redfish are getting much more active throughout the day. We are still catching some snook although the size s dwindling for snook on the flats. The dock lights and nighttime bridge fish is still stellar. We are landing alot and over slot snook, bull redfish, and even some lingering tarpon around the 30 pound range. Fall is THE time of year for redfish. Let's go get some!

We have been throwing lots of soft plastic swim baits , pop n corks with live shrimp, and some top water as well. Come join the fun and let’s catch some nice reds, trout , snook, and black drum.

I got the impression that the mate was newer deckhand. The mate did well but obviously had a few things to learn. Sorry I forgot his name. As for our captain, instead of the captain jumping in and helping the mate, he was too busy fishing himself. They both basically got lost in what they were doing instead of putting the clients first. Overall we had a good experience and reeled up plenty of fish.
