A lot of bigger trout wading have been showing up in East Bay. Along with some bigger schools of reds out on the flats making for easy sight casting. Spring fish is right around the corner and by the looks of it it's going to be a great season.

Fishing has been great Lots of black drum and quite a few reds mixed in Big drum are starting to run It's shaping up to be a great spring time full of awesome fishing. We have plenty of days open to get people booked up.

Water temps still sitting in mid 60's red and trout are in waste deep water. We have been starting the mornings with corky's or soft plastics for our trout. For redfish we are sticking with a soft plastic with a 1/16 jig head. Be looking for scattered shell and mud with a shell flat to the outside. As the day heats up the fish are movie closer to shoreline to sun. The double D has been a killer bait in the afternoon for both reds and trout in the afternoon over shell.

We each had a guide to bait, cast, and net our catch. They also cleaned our fish and bagged for freezing. Caught our limits and had a very good morning. Redfish Success with Captain Tommy – Rockport, TX Despite a windy day and high water near Aransas Pass, Captain Tommy put us right on the fish. The flats were tough, but he still knocked out a two-man limit of redfish in just three hours—no small feat under those conditions. His personality was a great mix of humor and local know-how. While he didn’t spill too many trade secrets (understandably!), he kept the trip engaging and productive. If you’re chasing reds around Rockport, he’s absolutely worth booking.
