About Your Trip

Get ready to experience the thrill of Texas inshore fishing with Captain Jodie, a seasoned local guide who knows every inch of the waters around Port Aransas, Corpus Christi, Aransas Pass, and Rockport. With years of fishing these bays and a deep understanding of local fish habits, Captain Jodie is eager to lead you on an unforgettable adventure. His trips cater to all skill levels, whether you're a seasoned angler or completely new to the sport, and are available as half-day or full-day outings for groups of up to five (or larger by special request).

On your trip, you’ll target Texas’s “Big Four” game fish: redfish, black drum, speckled trout, and flounder. Redfish are known for their powerful runs, black drum put up a strong fight, speckled trout are a thrill to hook, especially on topwater, and flounder are a tasty challenge with their stealthy camouflage. Captain Jodie will adjust the fishing techniques to suit the conditions and your preferences, whether it’s casting with lures or using live bait, so you have the best chance of hooking up with something memorable.

Captain Jodie’s boat is fully equipped with high-quality rods, reels, and a variety of bait options to suit all fishing styles. He also prioritizes safety, providing US Coast Guard-approved life jackets for everyone on board, and a cooler to keep any drinks or snacks you bring fresh (just avoid glass containers). To make the most of your day, don’t forget to bring sun protection—UV shirts, hats, sunscreen, and polarized sunglasses will help keep you comfortable under the Texas sun. You’ll also need a Texas saltwater fishing license, which you can grab online or at local spots like Island Tackle on Port Aransas Island.

Captain Jodie’s main goal is to provide a safe, fun, and productive day on the water. As a fully licensed and insured USCG captain with a Texas Parks and Wildlife guide license, he brings both expertise and a welcoming spirit to every trip. So listen to his advice, keep your line in the water, and get ready for a day of fish, sun, and great memories on the beautiful Texas coast!
