Red hot fishing in this summer heat! When there's rain, there's happy fish. Rain cools down the high water temperatures the summer brings, and the fish begin to actively feed. Plenty of happy juvenile tarpon along with redfish, snook, bonefish and permit.

South Florida Fishing Report Offshore action has been steady, with mahi fishing producing decent results in depths ranging from 900 to 1,500 feet of water. Anglers are finding success around broken debris and floating seaweed lines, where schools of mahi have been holding. Both artificial lures and live baits have been effective, giving fishermen plenty of opportunities throughout the day. On the reef, the snapper bite has really started to heat up. The bottom bite has been on fire with mutton snapper black grouper and some nice gags. We also caught lots of Blacfin tuna limiting out a couple days with some fish in the 20 pound range and one over 30 pounds. The sailfish showed up today.
