Introduced to South Florida decades ago, these exotic game fish have become a bucket-list catch for anglers from around the world thanks to their aggressive strikes, powerful runs, and stunning colors.

George has spent years fishing these productive waters and knows where to focus based on the season, weather, and fish activity. Whether you're an experienced angler looking to add a new species to your list or a beginner eager to learn, he'll help you make the most of your day on the water.

This trip is centered around light-tackle fishing, which makes every fish a fun and exciting challenge. Depending on conditions and your preference, you'll target Peacock Bass using live bait or artificial lures, both of which can be highly effective. Anglers interested in fly fishing are welcome as well, as these fish are known to respond aggressively to well-presented flies.

One of the things that makes Peacock Bass fishing so special is the visual aspect of the bite. It's everything about the Florida keys estuary for him. From the beautiful grass flats littering the lower keys, to the mangrove biome North at Flamingo, to the offshore waters just south in the Atlantic. There is no better place to grow up for an avid fisherman like himself. Captain George has two boats a 16' technical poling skiff for maneuvering the flats and everglades, and a 27' center console for exploring the deep water. I highly recommend sunglasses that we will primarily be sight fishing for the Peacock bass. Your drinks for the day. Artificial lures will be provided but for an added experience I would recommend fishing with livebait, the customer would assume the cost of the livebait. A few dozen Shiners are around $50 depending on market price.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

My wife and I had the pleasure of taking a trip with Captain George. He and his mate Kyle picked us up on time and took us out for a great day of fishing. Weather was definitely sporty but his boat handled it comfortably. They were very well prepared to for everything. Having a boat myself I asked a lot of questions on techniques and such. Captain George was very help and wasn't hesitant to share his knowledge. We had a great time. They were upbeat and personable. We ended up will a cooler full of yellow tail snapper, a nice mutton snapper, a nice fight on a good-sized bonito. They recommended a good place to cook it up for us. I would highly recommend taking a trip with Captain George.

What a great time! My son and I enjoyed our trip. Fishing the flats and mangroves was a great new experience it and I can’t wait to do it again.
