Good morning Scott. Here's an Everglades fishing report:
Recent Everglades trip produced a special moment when a longtime fishing buddy put everything together and landed a new personal-best largemouth bass at 6 lbs on a hollow-body frog. High water made conditions challenging, but persistence paid off. We caught a handful of bass, with the big fish being the clear highlight of the day. Great reminder that sticking with a technique and learning the details can lead to a fish you’ll remember for a long time.

Fall is picking up right where our summer left off. Hot fishing and some cooler weather makes it that much more enjoyable for everyone! Plenty of bait starting to show up and the fish are happy!

Fall Fishing Is Back!
Fall has arrived in South Florida, the Sargassum has finally cleared out, and the fishing is getting good again!
It has been a tough summer for offshore fishing in Fort Lauderdale. The Sargassum weed was some of the worst we have seen in years, making trolling difficult and taking a lot of the fun out of offshore fishing.
But now, the weed is mostly gone and the fish are biting!

Peacock bass fishing continues to be productive in South Florida. On a recent trip, we boated 19 peacocks along with a largemouth, with several quality fish mixed in. The fish are beginning to group up more, and we found one active school that produced a strong run of bites. Water temperatures were in the low-to-mid 80s, and the action stayed steady throughout the trip. A very fun day on the water with a visiting couple from Colorado.

Cobia blackfin tuna and some big amberjack off the Miami Recks along with some big sharks heading in to the end of summer. Mahi are still biting looking forward to getting some sailfish rolling in soon

Water levels have come up, and the fish have scattered out a little bit. You’ve got to work for them right now, but once you find fish, stay with them. The bite has been fantastic when you get around them.
Lake Okeechobee has been a little on and off lately. Water levels are still low overall but are slowly coming up. We could use some stable weather to really get things going. Once conditions settle in, expect the bass bite to fire up.

You might get lucky (as long as things are in-season).

A terrific experience all around. Even though we didn’t catch many fish! As the crew said, that’s why they call it fishing and not catching! Still, we had a wonderful time and a lot of fun.
Fantastic trip! It was our first time fishing anything but lakes and rivers. Alek was a great captain to take us out for this! He filleted all the fish we caught which we thought we were gonna have to find somewhere to process them to take back home with us.
Thanks Alek! We will definitely book with you again!
Bryan was awesome. He put us on multiple species of fish. We had a blast. His knowledge of the area was great and he knew how to manage the water which was nice cause the water was rough.
Charles was such a great guide. He did everything to make our day as special as he could. I would highly recommend a trip with Charles and I'll be back for sure.
We did the cast and blast trip and were able to check a couple things off the list. One of the guys in our group was really wanting to catch a snakehead and got it done, and I was able to knock a peacock bass off my bucket list as well.
We also got some good iguanas during the hunting portion of the trip. The equipment provided was top notch, especially the guns, and everything was handled with a strong focus on safety. For someone new to this type of trip, there’s definitely an opportunity to experience a little bit of everything.
Jose is a great captain, he was very professional and got us on fish and iguanas very quick, it was a great experience. If you want to go fishing or iguana hunting Jose is your guy
It was a decent trip. The captain experience charged a $165 additional service fee which was a bit egregious and the trip was cut short by 30 min. So I paid $1,665 for 4.5 hours. It was fun but definitely not worth the money.
