Stillhouse Hollow: We are doing great on numbers of bass with the occasional big one. Our primary strategy has been to target nomadic schools of bass offshore in open water. Once we find them, we are catching them on a small, weightless soft plastic jerkbait. We are also finding success...

Stillhouse Hollow: We are doing great on numbers of bass with the occasional big one. Our primary strategy has been to target nomadic schools of bass offshore in open water. Once we find them, we are catching them on a small, weightless soft plastic jerkbait. We are also finding success by using drop shot rigged finesse worms in submerged vegetation in 8-20 ft of water.

Fishing has been really good! Catching schooling fish in the morning on top waters and swim baits. As the sun gets higher im moving to the outside grass line with drop shots and shakey heads. Been producing very good numbers and decent quality!

Caught two Saturday..... mainly saw gar and carp. A few smallmouth buffalos. Not many hungry bass. But the carp are on right now and the clarity is super good. Flows seems around 60-120cfs and it gettin the mossy areas a breathe of fresh air. So wading looks like the move....

Earlier this month I had a charter with a lovely newly married couple. The husband wanted to surprise his wife with a fishing trip.
After speaking with him and knowing that this is a surprise for his lovely wife, I wanted to do something extra special for them. I went ahead and bought flowers , and have them specially delivered while we were on the lake with the help of another angler and his boat.
To me, it’s always about making memories. And I’m sure that day there’s a memory that’s going to be with them for the rest of your life and that is what is important to me.
