Kids are schooling but so are the fish!
With the late Summer patterns the fish are schooling on deep structure in 8 to 12 ft of water! Our main tactics have been using a popping cork with 3 foot of 40lb leader, split shot and a #4 treble hook with a live shrimp hooked in the tail. We've had multiple outings where our shrimp has been attacked within the first 10 seconds of hitting the water! The fast and furious action will continue on this deep structure for the entire month of September and in to the first week of October. In the previous years, once we get the first cool snap of the year the fish will migrate from this deep structure to mouth's of bayou's, drains and rivers to ambush shrimp, shad, mullet and glass minnows being flushed from the shallows. Just because the kids are back to school doesn't mean you can't come out at and have fishing trip of a lifetime. Get your trip booked and let's go make some memories! Tight lines

Fishing in the Freeport/West Galveston Bay area has been great! Redfish and flounder can be caught along the grass lines with live shrimp and a popping cork. Trout have been good along the guts and sand flats using artificial and live bait

Still catching big snapper along with Mahi-mahi, kingfish and tuna. Last couple days of snapper season left then will be chasing Amberjack starting Sept. 1st.

The fishing has been good. Catching lots of nice trout on finger mullet in the bays. Early morning top water bite has been excellent for big redfish and trout. Flounder gigging trips have also had good success.

The Red Snapper bite has been decent this year in 100 -200ft of water, and the King Mackerel bite is in full swing the past few weeks. Even a few stray Mahi every now and then.

Fishing remains consistent when the weather has made it possible to fish. Still plenty of trout in most spots, with the typical higher numbers of juvenile trout caught in summertime. Still finding trout in Galveston Bay suspended in 6' of water close to oysterbeds. We've been seeing plenty of redfish...

Fishing remains consistent when the weather has made it possible to fish. Still plenty of trout in most spots, with the typical higher numbers of juvenile trout caught in summertime. Still finding trout in Galveston Bay suspended in 6' of water close to oysterbeds. We've been seeing plenty of redfish if the customers are willing to wade and/or pay extra for croaker as bait. Shrimp had yielded mostly undersized trout and unwanted by catch.
