Fishing Report: Captain Michael. 12/1/23. The bay fishing has been producing some nice solid fish. Redfish are moving out along grass flats and are hitting fresh cut bait and lures. If lure fishing throw lures that resemble the same colors that match the real bait. Match the hatch color schemes....

Fishing Report: Captain Michael. 12/1/23. The bay fishing has been producing some nice solid fish. Redfish are moving out along grass flats and are hitting fresh cut bait and lures. If lure fishing throw lures that resemble the same colors that match the real bait. Match the hatch color schemes. Fish will start off in deeper water and move into shallower adjacent water as temperatures rise. Speckled trout are hanging along deeper water drop offs. Larger soft plastic in the winter are a good choice. Sheepshead fishing should turn on sometime soon. This is also a good time to try and target some snook.

    All I can say is this was a great trip. Alfonso worked his tail off trying to find some clear water in 20 to 25 mph winds but we managed to get 3 fish. Even with all the winds my wife and I loved the experience with Alfonso. You can tell his passion is fishing and teaching you all he knows about Flounder gigging. We will be using Alfonso again and hopefully less winds next time.
