Born and raised in Port Isabel, Captain Russell has spent over 45 years fishing the shallow waters of the Lower Laguna Madre—and it shows. At 57, he’s a seasoned guide with deep local roots and a lifetime of experience chasing Redfish, Trout, and other South Texas favorites. Coast Guard certified and licensed by the state of Texas, Captain Russell knows these waters like the back of his hand and takes pride in delivering consistent, rewarding days on the water.

You’ll be fishing aboard his 24' Carolina Skiff, built for comfort and perfectly suited for navigating skinny water. Whether you're a seasoned angler or just getting started, Captain Russell welcomes all skill levels and makes sure every guest feels right at home.

Whole family born and raised as commercial shrimpers and Commercial fishermen

What makes you different from other guides?

I believe everyone deserves to get a chance to go out and fish from children to the novice fisherman to the Avid fisherman I will take anybody out on the water. One thing I always bring some form of live bait as well as artificial lures and I will always go the extra mile instead of saying close by the house it's just the way I was raised.
