Lake Fork is only .31.low which is very good in early to mid Aug. Surface is I. High end 80s. We're fish mostly offshore in 18' to 24-. Throwing a drop shot with V&M Straight Wild and 5/8 or 3/4 oz. shaky head with a 10/2" J-Mag worm. Only doing 4 or 6 hr with all this heat. But fishing is pretty good.

Welcome go Lake Fork. Surface is 59 to 63 degrees and lake level is -2.28 low. We're mostly fishing in the mouths of creeks in 14' to 18' with a drop shot and c-rig. A lot of shad are moving out of the backs of creeks to front. Also fishing some of the bridges. Good colors have been tomato on the drop shot and watermelon red on the c-rig. Don't underestimate Dec. fishing here and I have good dates open this time of year.

Lake Fork is fishing fair with top waters early around grass on yellow magics and frogs . Carolina rigs and Texas rigs best in 12 - 20 ft around points with 10 inch blue fleck worms . Deep crank baits good on the deeper points over 20-25 ft with DD -22 in Shad patterns .

Welcome to Lake Fork
Water level is -4.38 and surface temp is lower 50s. This is the best water level we’ve had since early last Winter. We had a pretty severe cold front here last week then some much needed rain. The ground was already saturated so most of it was runoff into the lake. Looking at the extended future forecast it looks fairly mild heading toward Spring. These big females will start heading toward their pre spawn haunts early this year. I like to start fishing the upper Northern part of the lake stating in early Feb. and continuing...

These big females will start heading toward their pre spawn haunts early this year. I like to start fishing the upper Northern part of the lake stating in early Feb. and continuing staying on that end through March. The water will always be a little warmer and that’s where they will start spawning first. Main lake and secondary points at mouths of the larger creeks are idea early staging places. On a little warmer trend move on into the creeks and fish larger wood on the sides of them. Also try spawning flats outside the creeks in the warmer afternoons. A lot of baits will work for these pre spawners. Jigs, suspended jerk baits, chatter baits, spinner baits, cranks and I like a c-rig with a creature bait. With the lake level on the rise this should be a good pre spawn and spawn this year.
Good Fishing!
Water temps are climbing and getting over 55-57 and fish are on the move to warmer areas and pockets . Suspending jerk baits good over ditches and creeks in 5-8 ft . Spinner baits also good slow rolled over the same areas . Viper XP jigs in sour-grape and purple passion are good on big wood and lay downs . Best depth 6-8 ft . Square bills still working around the ditches and creeks . Red or orange is best in 3-6 ft

Dec. 14 fishing report. Fork is -5.34 low and surface temps are ranging around 57 to 59 degrees. We're catching them on a drop shot using a V& M Pork Pin in 15' to 22' on main lake points. Also using a Zoom fluke in Watermelon red in same places. We're expecting colder weather in the next week. We will start throwing flipping jigs on timber around shallower creek channels in our arsenal also as temps get cooler.

Lake Fork is still fairly slow. Best bite is Texas rigs and Viper XP Jigs. Best colors are green, pumpkin, gold flake Raptor Craw and Sour grape, and PB&J on jigs . 2-6 ft on wood or lay downs are best if near ditches and creeks. Some fish in the very back of the pockets. Few fish are being caught on XD 5 crank baits on main lake points and secondary points in 8 ft. Shad pattern is good.

The kids and I had a blast! Chris was really great at teaching all of us what to do and what to look for. He was also great at easing my kids into it and making them feel comfortable. They couldn't stop talking about it and they all want to do it again. It was a really great experience! We caught plenty of fish!
He was great guide. There was a problem in the beginning because he didn’t have us scheduled on his calendar. Your company never pass the word to him to pit us on the calendar. I called him and he was grateful to come and take us out. You need better communication with your guides. Other than that he was great.
My two sons and I had a great time. It was a tough bite, but we caught some nice fish. Eddie explained everything well and had a great deal of patience with my 10 and 13 year old sons. We all had fun and learned alot! Thank you!
We had a great trip catching Crappie on Cedar Creek Lake. Justin put us on the fish and we caught our limit. He was very helpful with anything we needed and also was very kind and considerate. I will definitely recommend him to everyone I know! Can't wait for the fish fry.
Brett got my daughter and I hooked up with fish to take home in less than an hour. Very accommodating and obviously very experienced on Lake Tawakoni. We had a great time, great memories for a daddy/daughter weekend!
