Vermilion snapper bite is still strong. Triggers still in season until 31st December. Catching some Almaco jacks, and of course red snapper are everywhere. We are still running charters until we dry dock for a week or two in January. 6 and 8 hr trips are producing catches of keeper fish. Although the 4 and 5 hr trips are producing lots of fun fish to catch, not as many keepers.

With water temps dropping sub 65* action in the main river has slowed to primarily trout with sheepshead available on nice days which are far and few between. Water temps dropping doesn't mean slow fishing all the time though, in fact it's at its best in Jacksonville when it's cold. The best option for cold weather is 2 person flats boat trips. While the redfish limit has dropped to 1 per person in the last couple months it's reared it's head with an incredible bite from schools feeling way less pressure. Offshore when fishable is absolutely on fire. Lots of nice catches bottom fishing and great Tuna and wahoo trolling on the 10/12 hour trips. Right now until spring is a great time for the 4/6 hour trips to seabass fish with the great possibility to get lucky on a 4 hour trip gag grouper as they push in shallow with cool weather. Bonus pic of a super rare catch for us a small Warsaw grouper while Seabass fishing. Let's get out and fish!

We have been fishing lots of wrecks, reefs. and inshore water. Jumbo size yellowtail have been pretty consistent on big love pilchards, along with the occasional African pompano and yellow Jack. Some decent size muttons have started to move into patches and mangrove snappers too. On the windy days we fished inshore and caught tarpon, snook, Goliath grouper and some nice sized mangrove snapper too.

30a offshore. We have wrapped up the October fall snapper dates. We continue to find quality fish despite the high winds and big seas. Everything from big red snapper, scamp grouper, big trash can lid triggerfish, bull vermillion, even rainbow runners. The cold front that has came through has sparked off the kings also. Still waiting for the big run of the fall blackfin tuna. 30a inshore. We are seeing the bull redfish still pretty consistently. Some days are better than others but they're still around. We are catching slots around docks and some of the drop offs. Flats in the morning for them and later in the evening. Still catching a few trout also. Hopefully in the next few weeks the sheepshead bite will pick up for us here in the Choctawhatchee.

This Cold weather snap has the billfish spun up, 300lb blue was tagged and landed a sail , the trolling has produced Bonita and king mackerel! We are at the end of our season so we are slowing down but still plenty of Reef fish to catch before the gulf weather gets harsh for
