Fishing is red hot in Galveston bay. Catching specks, redfish, flounders, drums and sheepheads. The water temperature is 68 degrees. Use live shrimp over shell and rock. With a full moon it's an early bite. Now the time to go while the kids out of school for spring break. Thanks Captain Mike

Fishing for reds drum and sheep head have been fantastic. The last couple of weeks the trout are just now moving in and the trout bite is picking up. Bay waters are warming up surf is turning green. It's time to go fishing.

Fishing has been slow for us, due to the weather and low tides. Making the water dirty and tough fishing.

Fishing has been great lately in the bayous and marsh with the recent warmer weather. We have been using live shrimp under popping corks targeting the reefs and ledges along deeper water. Should only get better as we go into spring and early summer.

Fishing report from Harry A. in Galveston, Texas

Last few trips have been mostly catch and release trips. Did not take a lot of pictures. Most days we are finding a good bite using artificial lures from the boat. Some days it takes time for the bite to materialize. Recent weather patterns are indicating an early spring. Water temperature have already reached mid 70 degrees. The shad spawn has already begun. So we will be using smaller baits to get our bites for the next 30days or so. Popping cork and shrimp will also become an effective method for catching fish.

Fishing has been great around rocks and structure. Popping Cork and shrimp with 4 Horseman popping corks have been the key. Also shrimp rigged on bottom with a jig head for drum.

Fishing report from Jeremy G. in Aransas Pass, Texas Book a trip with Captain Jeremy here.

Fishing is heating up in the Aransas Pass area right along with the weather! As the water temperatures rise fish will become more aggressive making it much easier for us to pin point a feeding pattern. Redfish and keeper sized black drum have been the target species these last few weeks. Fresh dead shrimp has been the bait of choice for the black drum. Some days they prefer the shrimp completely peeled. Always give that a try if they don't seem to like it with the shell on. Most of our Redfish catches have been while using fresh dead shrimp or cut up blue crab. Also a few on live pinfish and cut mullet. Seasons are changing fast and spring break is only a few weeks away. Fishing should only get better from here. Come on down and try your luck!
