Fishing is hot right now on the Central Florida coast! We are seeing waves of Pompano migrating through with the schools of Mackerel and Bluefish. The seaweed has subsided for the most part, this is the best it's been all year for surf fishing. Find yourself some clean water, a good sandbar and you'll be on your way for some quality fishing. My go-to lure for Bluefish and Mackerel and Big Jacks in the surf. 1oz Gunslinger Jig by Beach Bum Lures. Pompano Rig - Pompano Rich "Pompano Catchers" Surfari Series- Color coordinate your floats to the water conditions. Bait of Choice - Live sandfleas or shrimp cut into small pieces tipped with FishGum. Tight Lines and Good fishing!

October is a beautiful time to be out on the water here in the panhandle. The inshore bite is definitely awesome this time a year. You can pick off a lot of variety by pounding the banks with live shrimp, plastics, and twitch baits. Deep dropping or trolling offshore is still going strong. Just pick the right day to get out there as these northern winds start blowing pretty steady.
